Early Race Report

Albany race caps exciting 2008 season

Field OF Dreams Fast & Furious

ALBANY, Oregon (September 7, 2008) — The dream of a World Class, professional racing facility of Kyle Patrick, Joe Hampl, Pat Hampl and everyone at Oregon JetSprint LLC—at the shovels of Morrison Excavating—came to a teeth-clenching climax before an estimated 2,750 fans Saturday. Even "Dutch", designer of the infamous Dutch sprint boat racing hulls from New Zealand, placed his stamp of approval upon the Field of Dreams, located 3 miles south of Albany, Oregon.

 

"A beautiful facility," commented Dutch, "Beats anything we have in New Zealand." Mumblings of a World Series went through the crowd of professional racers like the "wave" at an NFL football game. Dutch and Scott Ackerman passed hints that something may be in the works. At this point, it's nothing more than a verified, solid rumor, but where there's smoke...
